Hope for Tanzania

Tuishime School

Published 25 April 2019

The school is having some problems with parents not being able to afford school fees so the number of children has reduced from 430 to 350. Apparently this is because there is a tighter restriction on the money supply perhaps as a result of the government collecting taxes that previously were not declared. The result for the school is that there are some difficulties in paying teachers and other staff their salaries as the budget of the school is not now balanced. We are seeking to obtain more information to better understand if there is a way for us to help.
