Handover Ceremony for Computers
Published 10 June 2012
The handover ceremony for the computers was held at Tuishime School on 2 June. It was attended by the school committee, education officials and representatives of local government. The computers are now installed and will immediately be put to good use as IT skilss are taught to pupils. We have various ideas to make sure that the computers are fully used, one of which is to make them available to parents and local people to learn computing during evening classes. Before we do this we need to identify an IT trainer and agree a reasonable level of tuition fees for courses, nither of which should be too challenging. Another idea is to use the school as the teacher resource centre for IT in Arusha and thereby arrange for an internet connection to be installed. This would be a superb service to offer as it would almost be unique in Tanzania. If you have experience of networking computers, or know someone who has, then please contact us at info@hopefortanzania.org
