Hope for Tanzania

School Exams

Published 30 September 2012

No one likes doing them in UK but, perhaps surprisingly the children at Tuishime School in years 4 and 7 don't seem to mind taking exams. Both year groups recently took their exams and the long wait until December now starts when they'll receive their results. Children who pass the standard VII exams will graduate and go on to secondary schools whilst those who don't will have to repeat the year. We have been able to influence the education officer to channel Tuishime children to the better schools in Arusha so as to capitalise on the excellent education they have received already. We have visited these secondary schools and are setting up wider partnerships with schools in UK.
