Get involved at home
We welcome support from individuals and groups to further the aims of Hope for Tanzania. There are many ways in which you can support our work.
Promoting our Work
The tremendous needs of people in Tanzania will only begin to be met if we engage more and more people to help in our projects and start new ones. If you have links with a school, perhaps as a teacher, parent or pupil and want to get your school involved in a project then contact us. If your church is looking to link-up with a church in Tanzania or wants to help in our work then there are many different openings. We can visit your school or church to talk about Tanzania and its needs.
Penpals
Just a few minutes writing an encouraging letter or sending an encouraging email on a regular basis can lead to a deep friendship being built up. We have teachers, students, children and community leaders who would like a pen pal with whom to correspond. Who knows? One day you may decide to meet up with your pen pal in Tanzania.
Fundraising
Financial support may be by direct one-off donations or through regular giving. It could be by participating in sponsored events, whether of a sporting or artistic nature or in any other activity which is in keeping with the spirit of the charity.
Administration
Hope for Tanzania spends no money on administration, all of which is carried out voluntarily by Trustees and other volunteers. This means that all donations are used for projects in Tanzania. Volunteer opportunities include examination of accounts, administration of the Sponsor a Child Scheme, website maintenance, record keeping and filing, and donor relations.
