Hope for Tanzania

Pastors and Church Leaders

Added 06 March 2011

There are many churches throughout Tanzania that are led by pastors who have little theological training. Indeed many of them are relatively uneducated and struggle in their leadership roles. Neither are there nearly enough pastors, particularly in rural communities. Pray for finances to be made available for many more pastors to be trained so that they can lead their churches in a way that deepens the faith of their members and gives them the tools to distinguish truth from error. A time may be coming when Christians in Tanzania will be persecuted so they need to develop a strong faith, to know Bible truths well and above all to walk closely with their God rather than remaining shallow.Pray that church leaders will model Christ centred living and be fruitful in their lives encouraging the wise use of the gifts of the Spirit in their churches.
