Those who attend church services will know that all of us have the freedom to obey or disobey what we hear preached. We can decide whether to respond positively to the words we hear. But if we never hear practical subjects being talked about in church, such as use of money, care of others, behaving honestly and honourably, forgiveness, faithfulness in marriage, then the Bible becomes a dry and academic textbook. This is not how it is meant to be. We ask you to pray that pastors and leaders of churches in Tanzania will teach the full Bible in a systematic way so that Christians learn the deep, and often supremely difficult, truths to apply to their lives so that behaviours are changed and the Church shines forth. Pray that Christians will be deeply changed and go out to be light and helpers to a dark and needy world.
