Peace in Tanzania

Earlier this year there were a number of attacks on Christians and church buildings in Zanzibar, Dar and even Arusha. We are sad to report that some pastors were killed during the attacks and church buildings destroyed. Please pray that those who carried out the attacks will be brought to justice so that the country will not suffer any further unrest such as is happening in Egypt, Syria and Sudan. Pray that the affected Christians will experience healing - physically, emotionally and spiritually - and not resort to retaliation or violence. Pray that they will show acts of kindness to their neighbours even in such difficult situations. Ask God that he will strengthen the Church to be able to cope with persecution which appears more likely as each year passes. We have confidence that the Church will remain true to its beliefs if it follows the example and values of Jesus and relies on the Holy Spirit.
